Last night's full moon rise was spectacular! There was a lot of discussion leading up to it among the local photographers about where the best spot would be to capture it rising behind Nubble. Many took up spots along Long Sands beach with zoom lenses, but I was afraid of getting basically the same photo as every one else (these guys got some GREAT shots!).I made the last minute decision to head up to Sohier Park and try for a closer shot. This decision would mean that I couldn't use a telephoto lens, and I wouldn't get the huge "moon in your face" effect from the telephoto compression, but I like the way this one came out using my 50mm prime lens. Let me know if you agree!
