Geno's in the South End | Portsmouth

There's something very timeless about this area of Portsmouth that keeps drawing me back. If it wasn't for the new truck by the fence on the right, this scene could easily have been straight from the 1960's. In fact I thought about cloning the truck out, but I figured leaving it there helps set this scene in the present day.This image was captured just after sunset which is usually a difficult time to shoot in this direction since the bright sky can wash out the dimly lit row of houses. However a bank of clouds helped to even out the dynamic range and made this photo possible.
