Favorite Shots of 2013

With the new year upon us, I thought I would put together a collection of some of my favorite shots from 2013. This past year has been great, meeting many new fans and local photographers, and seeing my Facebook page grow from a few friends and family to almost 900 followers! I've also had my work displayed in local businesses, placed first in a photo contest, and even put together my first calendar which turned out to be a big hit.

It's interesting that some of my favorite shots are only from the last few months. I think that just goes to show that I've really come a long way over this past year with regards to focusing on this hobby and doing my best to always improve. This wouldn't be possible without the help from all of you, so a huge thanks!

Boston and Maine locomotive on display in Lowell, Mass. The wreath is a nice addition for the holiday season.
Crystal clear reflections of Frye's Measure Mill. I just like the history of this old building and how it's nestled deep in the woods of central NH.
Flume covered bridge during the fall foliage peak. I was out of work for a week during the government shutdown, so it was a perfect opportunity to head North and capture some of the colors.
Likely the best sunrise I witnessed this year at Nubble light. This is also the photo that won the Framed Art Superstore photo contest, and I now have a large canvas print hanging over my desk.
A great morning at Old Orchard with fellow photographer Benjamin M. Williamson Photography. We both wen't home with some great shots that day.
The last picture I took in 2013 was really one of my favorites. The colors and blanket of fresh snow are just great, and this one really took off on Facebook.
An evening on the Portsmouth waterfront with local NH photographer Robert Clifford. This Piscataqua was really still which made for some great reflections.
Some great reflections on a cool evening at the commercial fishing pier. North Church steeple can be seen lit up in the background.
I've always wanted a good shot of the tugs from this angle, and pulled it off during the first snow storm of the year. It was extremely cold this morning and the visibility was next to nothing.
Autumn at the Saco River covered bridge. I waded into the water to get this angle and to have that collection of rocks for foreground interest.
Full moon rise over Whaleback lighthouse. The setting sun helped to light up the rocks along the shore just long enough for me to grab this shot. I want to try this again something and hopefully get the moon rising right behind the lighthouse.
